A child of Chicago’s 50th Ward, Jason Honig is a candidate who believes that we all succeed together:
“Community means common good. An alderman shouldn’t be the boss—they should be the hardest-working servant of the common good.
– Jason Honig, Candidate for 50th Ward Alderman
Jason has served as a schoolteacher, a counselor, and a principal, as well as the Executive Director of Lawndale’s Learning Center. He currently works as a Community Engagement Leader for Thrivent Financial, a not-for-profit ethical investment and financial management firm.
His work has taken him all over the City of Chicago and the Midwest. Everywhere he’s been, Jason sees that people succeed when they’re supported by strong, vibrant, and diverse communities.
The 50th Ward is one of the most diverse in the city, and it deserves an alderman who will celebrate that diversity, promote the community, and work to bring neighbors together for the common good.
